Overview
The L J Goody Bioethics Centre was founded in 1985 as an agency of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Perth, Western Australia, guided by its first Director, Fr William Uren SJ. Named in honour of Sir Launcelot John Goody DD PhD KBE, third Catholic Archbishop of Perth (1968-83), the Centre moved to its present location in Mt Hawthorn, WA, under its second Director, Rev Dr Walter Black MSC PhD, in 1990.
