Overview
Established in 1993, LIT First Aid & Lifeguard Training provides specialized recreation training throughout British Columbia. The company originated in Lifeguard Instructor Training, which today, remains the cornerstone of LIT First Aid & Lifeguard Training. To better serve recreation employees and to meet the growing needs of the recreation industry, LIT First Aid & Lifeguard Training began offering comprehensive Fitness and First Aid Training in 2002. The very roots began even prior to this as the founder and director of LIT First Aid & Lifeguard Training, Michael Miller, began instructing advanced aquatics in 1989 while an employee of the City of Surrey. Over the next 7-years, balancing the position of a head lifeguard with advanced aquatic instruction at City of Surrey pools, allowed Michael to develop a superior customer oriented system in advanced aquatics and first aid training. With 20 highly qualified Red Cross first aid instructors, LIT First Aid & Lifeguard Training & First Aid has the capacity to not only train recreation and aquatics professionals, but also able to train those in other businesses. LIT First Aid & Lifeguard Training & First Aid currently offers over 700 courses per year in 16 different recreation facilities located in Vancouver, Surrey, Langley, Abbotsford, Richmond, Port Coquitlam, Mission, and White Rock.
