Listen to Your Mothers or LYM was founded by a group of four working mothers. Our mission is to partner with employers and mothers to reimagine workplaces so that parents can thrive and organizations can retain the talent they need. Despite the gains made in employment by our mothers and grandmothers, mothers and caregivers continue to lack structural and systematic support. We cannot access to sufficient paid leave, reliable and affordable childcare, or the flexibility required to balance work and caregiving, to name a few. To grow our economy and meet the challenges of our times, we need to listen to working parents and re-work the workplace for all caregivers. That starts with collaborating with working parents to develop, implement, and iterate responsive workplace policies.
