Overview

LiRN supports the Ontario county law library system’s services and programs to help meet the evolving needs of library users. There are 48 libraries in the LIRN network. As the main source of legal information and law library services for many lawyers across Ontario, they play an integral role in ensuring access to justice. LIRN supports these libraries by administering grants and assessing and developing appropriate service offerings. We are guided in these efforts by the principles established by our shareholders, the Law Society of Ontario (LSO), the Federation of Ontario Law Associations (FOLA), and the Toronto Lawyers Association (TLA). Chief among these principles are consulting with stakeholders and library users and making evidence-based decisions. Working together with our shareholders, stakeholders, library users, and the libraries in our network, LIRN will work to provide modern law library services across Ontario.
