Unsolved problems in the Coffee Trade System: The traditional raw coffee trade process lacks innovation to solve today‘s problems. Despite small improvements, coffee workers are still the weakest & poorest people in the value chain. Today’s coffee trade process is non-transparent and traceability often impossible. Typically, farmers sell their raw beans to cooperatives, which mix them with ones from other growers and sell them in bulk. We take Responsibility: Worlds Originals follows the Sustainable Development Goals. Our responsibility approach puts the farmer at the heart of value creation. Our approach makes the traditional raw material trade 100% obsolete. It empowers local families to become independent business actors. We enable farmers to create their own micro-business & give their families negotiating power. New jobs are created, providing secure income. As the beans are 100% traceable, coffee customers know exactly from which farm every single bean comes. That’s impossible with mass-produced coffee. For our customers, coffee becomes a cultural experience: our excellent awarded coffees are 100% produced locally, bear the DNA of the respective farmer and are unique in terms of taste.
