LinguaRolePlay provides an online platform full of immersive story content that allows ESL teachers to give fun and engaging online sessions to their students. Storytelling is one of the earliest skills that we learned as a species. The most effective communicators have developed the ability to tell a good story. Language allows us to tell stories. There is no better way to learn a language than to use it for its primary purpose. Using our online platform, students engage with their teachers in unstructured conversations within a living story. Feelings of self-consciousness melt away as students lose themselves in a fully creative activity involving problem solving, social interactions, and critical thinking. Before they realize it, they lose their inhibitions and start to speak freely using every drop of vocabulary and grammar that they know. New grammar or vocabulary introduced in this way is immediately applied, repeated, and fully understood in a meaningful way. Immersive stories are highly adaptable to any classroom situation - one-on-one or groups, online or offline. Moreover, teachers can adapt each story as needed in order to focus their students on any aspect of the language. Our content comprised of descriptions, narrations and dialogues are provided in both text form and as voice-overs recorded by native speakers. Teachers can easily organize speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities. Immersive storytelling helps students use language as a tool, instead of a field of study.
