Overview
Each year the Life is Good Playmakers help more than 1 million kids overcome the traumas associated with poverty, violence, and neglect. We do this by supporting childcare professionals working in schools, hospitals, and social service agencies. Our signature Playmaker retreats, tools, and ongoing coaching help childcare professionals create optimal environments for kids to heal, grow, and thrive. According to the CDC and the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University, early childhood trauma and toxic stress are the greatest health risks facing our children. The data also identifies responsive relationships with adult caregivers as the most critical component to successful trauma treatment. The Life is Good Playmakers recognizes our teachers, social workers, nurses, and childcare professionals as uniquely positioned to help kids heal.
