Leeds Gymnastics Club has been in its current location since June 2012 and before that was based at Carnegie Regional Gymnastics Centre in Leeds Beckett University’s Beckett Park Campus from 1989 to March 2012. Our history stretches back to the 1970s when the club was the L.A.I. or Leeds Athletic Institute based on Jack Lane near Leeds City Centre. Our recent past has seen us take our old gym apart mat by mat, bar by bar and build a new one from scratch, with support from British Gymnastics, Sport England and Leeds City Council, combined with phenomenal amounts of blood, sweat and tears from gymnasts, parents and friends of the club, we’ve made it to our brilliant new facility.
