Overview

Let’s Educate Children In Need (LECIN) is a youth-led non-profit organisation registered under the Indian Act Trust 1882. LECIN has been working in the Education space for over 8 years now. We envision a world where all children have an equitable access to holistic quality learning opportunities. Our mission is to build a strong foundation for meaningful learning in young children from low-income families. We have two programs: 1) Neev नीव (Early Childhood Education Program) 2) Khoj खोंज (Free Community Library Program) Neev aims to provide children strong foundations for round development and life-learning and prepare the child for school. We have been working on early childhood education since 2019. We have successfully operated our Balwadi centre in Sanjay Colony, Okhla, Delhi from 2019-21. We have worked with children in Madanpur Khadar village, Delhi and anganwadi of Nala village, Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh. Currently, we are working on transforming the anganwadis of Uttar Pradesh with UP Government. KHOJ as the name suggests mean - ‘to explore’. Through program Khoj, we aim to provide access to good literature and learning resources to children living in slums and villages. Our first free community library is in Village Madanpur Khadar, Delhi.
