Overview

The LaSalle Council is your local Boy Scouts of America Council and serves eight counties across Northern Indiana and Southwest Lower Michigan. The council is divided into geographic areas called districts. There are four districts within the boundaries of LaSalle Council. Over its lifetime, LaSalle Council has helped over hundreds of thousands of young people become "Prepared. For Life." The programs of the Boy Scouts of America serve young people by enabling them to develop healthy habits and make positive choices. Scouting values emphasize a lifelong appreciation of personal fitness, including the prevention of bullying, environmental stewardship & sustainability, and leadership development. Scouting is both fun and empowering; introducing young people to careers and preparing them to be active citizens. The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
