Overview

The Land’s End Coffee Company was born out of a desire to bring great tasting coffee to Cornwall, and be as fresh, local and sustainable as possible. We believe that the coffee you drink should be of the highest quality, with clear accountability of how it has been made and processed. After moving to Land’s End in December 2017, Ryan decided to bring his vision to life. Starting out with a kilo roasting machine called ‘Brenda’, and a pet tortoise for company, Ryan taught himself how to roast in an old millbarn. We now operate out of a converted 20ft steel shipping container, just a short five minute walk away from Land’s End. It’s here that we extensively trial roast and fine-tune our process for each variety of coffee, ensuring that every bean we sell brings you the very best in flavour and performance. As well as being our roasting hub, our container doubles as our own little coffee bar, serving coffee and cake to travellers and explorers that happen to stumble upon this little corner of Cornwall. We believe that in addition to making great coffee, we have a responsibility to our customers and local community to do everything we can to improve the lives of those that make our little business possible. And so it’s with that context in mind, that we take our job very seriously. We’re incredibly passionate about being responsible with our sourcing, and considerate with our environmental impact. From sourcing raw beans from women’s cooperatives that ensure each worker is empowered and paid the right price, to using recycled materials for our marketing materials and packaging; we relish the opportunity to make a positive impact in our community, and take pride in bringing a little joy into our customer’s lives. The sea is, and always will be, our source of inspiration. Each of our coffees lighthouses (and the odd light-ship) which can be found on and around the Penwith peninsula.
