Overview

The Los Angeles Marathon is an annual event held in Los Angeles, California since 1986. It has become one of the largest and most popular marathons in the United States, attracting over 20,000 participants from around the world each year. Organized by the McCourt Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity, the Los Angeles Marathon contributes to the foundation's mission of finding cures for neurological diseases and empowering communities to build a healthier world. Established in 1992, the McCourt Foundation has donated over $6.3 million to neurological research. By participating in the Los Angeles Marathon, all runners make a difference, but many choose to elevate their experience by running on behalf of a charity. Through our Nonprofit Partner Program, which includes 80 nonprofit partners, we connect the philanthropic community with passionate race participants who are willing to raise funds and create awareness for meaningful causes. Since its inception, the Nonprofit Partnership Program has raised over $63 million to benefit our partner organizations. Mark your calendars for the 39th running of the Los Angeles Marathon, scheduled to take place on March 17, 2024.
