In 1904, the first and the most famous Gyanmandir of Maharashtra came into existence. Later this Gyanmandir, turned into a multipurpose school and thereafter in British rule this multipurpose school was renamed as "Monro School". The students of our institution have glorified the school name in various fields. In 2006 we celebrated "Shatabdi Mahotsav" (100 years of its existance) , with great enthusiasm. Having a dignified history, after independance, the name of this school was transformed to Lal Bahadur Shastri High School & Junior College,Bhandara. We have classes from 5th to 12th. Huge and separate laborataries for different subjects and different sports facilities are available in the school. Our school has caught everyone's attention due to its attractive atmosphere and increasing academic success of the students. This glory of the school is maintained by the well known dignitaries of the town, social workers, alumni, teachers, parents, students and their affection towards the school. I hope the people of Bhandara district will always be there to guide us to take ahead the legacy of this esteemed institute..
