Depending on the time of year and rainfall, our namesake in Silicon Valley adjacent to the Stanford University campus has been a lake, fertile meadow or collection of vernal pools. Vernal pools are special places in that they provide protection to certain species during the vulnerable natal stages of their life cycle. So it is the same, we believe, with the nurturing of ideas into great companies. Lagunita Biosciences is a healthcare investment company and incubator that creates and grows early stage companies to commercialize impactful translational science that addresses significant clinical needs.
