Overview
LASP is a world-renowned space science research institute at the University of Colorado Boulder. Our lab, which began a decade before NASA was founded, is the only academic research institute in the world to have sent instruments to every planet—and Pluto. We’re at the forefront of space weather and climate monitoring, solar and planetary research, and the search for evidence of habitable worlds. LASP is a leader in the development of ultraviolet imaging and small satellite technologies to address key space research questions and to help bolster international expertise. Every day, undergraduate and graduate students work alongside our scientists, mission operators, data analysts, and engineers, as well as our many government, academic, and industry partners, to push the limits of space science and exploration.
