Years of savoir-faire and craftsmanship All products made by L’Esprit du Sud are made by traditional methods. Our lamp stands, lampshades and pillows are hand made by skilled professionals with a passion for their work. Our ateliers do not manufacture anything by industrial means or in bulk. That would not fit in our philosophy. We want to deliver products that meet our standards of quality. Each item is created with expert craftsmanship and loving attention for detail. And this loving attention makes our design pieces look fabulous! Ecological L’esprit du sud works with natural materials only. We use driftwood that have washed up on shore, for example, from who knows which distant origin. Beautiful ornamental metalwork is reclaimed from old garden fences from Italy. Stones that have been worn smooth by the relentless waves of the ocean are incorporated into our designs. We transform pieces of weathered old wood into modern-day objects and give them a new lease on life. Recycled oyster shells lend a magical mother-of-pearl sheen to the lamps which now decorate many beach house from the Caribbean to Mallorca to Kuweit.
