Overview

KULA PRODUCTIONS was formed by John Haxby and Mike Addison in September 2008 to promote and stage concerts at the 127-seater FRAzER THEATRE, Knaresborough – the first of which was a sellout concert by Martin Simpson held on September 18th 2008. Since then the list of artists appearing at The Frazer has grown ever longer: to many for this page!! In 2010 Kula began promoting concerts at the 500-seater HARROgATE THEATRE – the first of these concerts was Mark Moraghan & Nicky Campbell, which was followed by a SELL-OUT show by Ralph McTell on July 31st as part of the Harrogate International Festival Fringe. Rick Wakeman is now booked for April, Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel and The Waterson Family are scheduled for July 2011! PHILOSOPHY Kula has always been about bringing quality artists and music to North Yorkshire and treating both musicians and audience with the respect they deserve. We try to keep a fair ticket price balanced with a fair artist fee and, when we run the bar, provide quality wines and real ales at pub prices. Kula is also about providing the best promotion it can for concerts. John Haxby (a graphic designer and photographer of 25 years standing) designs Kula’s tickets, posters, flyers, press releases and website – this creates Kula’s unique identity. Mike Addison partners with his knowledge of the media ensuring extensive coverage across the Web, on the radio and in the local and national press – we work hard!
