The College boasts graduates living in all 105 Kansas counties, 50 states and 48 countries. There are many opportunities for student involvement within the college, with 17 education-related student organizations, including Educators Rising, which offers peer mentorship for first year students. The college also offers support for early career teachers for their first three years in the classroom with the Forever EDCATS program and Before the Bell eNewsletter. Our Professional Development School (PDS) Network – the clinical experiences portion of the curriculum – was recently selected as a top program in the country. Our faculty members are routinely sought out for important state and national discussions concerning education. In addition to our award-winning teacher preparation program, the college offers postgraduate programs for educators as well as career-enhancing degree options in adult learning and leadership, student affairs, and academic advising for professionals in a variety of fields ranging from the military to business to nonprofits. There are various Centers and partner organizations housed within the College devoted to specialized content areas or populations such as technology, multicultural and multilingual education, social studies, school leadership, academic advising, program evaluation and agriculture in the classroom.
