Overview

The systemic barriers faced by young women and underrepresented minorities in science and entrepreneurship drive a feedback cycle of lower perceived value and fewer opportunities, thus depriving our society of some of the best future talents among us. The Kosuri Foundation was started with the intention to break this cycle and narrow the gender gap by highlighting and celebrating the successes of young female scientists and entrepreneurs, supporting the next generation of leaders and role models. The Kosuri Award for Excellence is presented annually to young women with a strong record of talent and drive, and with the potential to become future leaders in science or entrepreneurship.
