Workplace injuries are inevitable. Whether they occur more frequently, or only a couple times per year, it is beneficial to communicate with an occupational medicine clinic so your company is prepared. We at Kootenai Occupational Medicine understand that keeping an employee at work is important to an employer, and that getting healthy quickly is equally as important to an injured employee. Our goal is to facilitate the injured worker’s successful return to work in a timely fashion with minimal chance of re-injury. We follow a case management system, and utilize a team approach to recovery with open lines of communication between the injured worker, the employer and all members of the treatment team. Our clinic staff monitors patient’s compliance with treatment goals and communicates with company contacts and insurers so that follow-up care instruction and specific work limitations are realistic and understandable. A unique concept, Kootenai Occupational Medicine offers care conferences to provide an opportunity to discuss deviations from care plans and to address concerns with patient progress. Our goal is to return each employee to work as a healthy and fully capable worker.
