Since its establishment in 2009, KIDS Regio has hosted a variety of events and meeting points across Europe, serving as a mediator between academics, politicians, and the children's media industry. The Erfurt Declaration of 2009, detailing the future of European children's film, set the direction for KIDS Regio's work, and subsequent forums have continued to address important issues surrounding distribution, access, and marketing of European children's film.
