Kansas Hispanic Education & Development Foundation

Philanthropic Fundraising Services

Overview

About The Kansas Hispanic Education & Development Foundation was founded as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2007. Mission Statement The mission of KHEDF is to serve Kansas Hispanic students and professionals by providing opportunities for education & leadership development. Vision Statement Turning college dreams into college degrees. KHEDF Scholars We are proud to empower and support “KHEDF Scholars”, so they can achieve college and career success. The students we serve are bright and eager students ready for college. They come from a variety of backgrounds and have many different career interests, yet they all share one goal: to pursue a higher education, transition into a career, and become leaders in our community. They find themselves, unfortunately, having college aspirations without the finances to make their dreams a reality. Your Contribution Your contribution – regardless of size makes a difference – will provide opportunities and financial assistance for bright and talented Hispanic students. It is through your help that access to a higher education is not just a dream, but a possibility. With the right resources KHEDF can serve more students and our future community leaders. Partnering together, we can turn college dreams into college degrees. Educational Initiatives Providing access to a postsecondary education is at the heart of KHEDF’s mission and the driving force of our educational initiatives. The work of the KHEDF begins with students in their junior year of high school through the Tu Futuro: Through Education & Leadership workshop; continues during their senior year with the awarding of scholarships through the Kansas Hispanic Scholarship Program; assists with the transition from high school to college with the Making the Most of College workshop; and provides the final piece of support from college to career through the Hispanic Alumni Network.
