Overview

Kosovo Glass Recycling originally started as a neighborhood initiative in the Municipality of Gjakova. We saw that the glass waste was the only thing that was not being recycled in Kosovo. While cleaning in the neighborhood, the idea came up to collect this material and recycle it. After collecting a considerable amount of glass in our neighborhood, we saw the opportunity. The interest of the citizens and the media was very high, as there was no company in Kosovo that dealt with the collection and processing of glass. To ensure the continuity and sustainability of the project, we have 2019 decided to start a company and continue to deal with glass waste. Since then we employ six people and cooperate with numerous businesses in Gjakova and Prishtina. To the date, Kosovo Glass Recycling has managed to recycle and upcycle over 500 tones of glass waste by using it for different purposes. Some of our products include: terazzo tiles, glass cullet, pool filtration glass media, interior and exterior elements, artisan handmade products.
