Kerry Volunteer Centre is one of 22 Volunteer Centres in Ireland and a member of the national development agency for volunteering, Volunteer Ireland. Individuals contact the Centre to - Access information about volunteering without having to make a commitment to volunteer - Find out about local volunteer opportunities - Avail of the placement service in order to begin volunteering - Benefit from on-going support when volunteering - Attend training in Volunteer Management Not-for-profit organisations register with the Centre to - Avail of support services to recruit, screen and manage volunteers - Advertise volunteer opportunities - Become a member of the Kerry Volunteer Managers Network - Access the Garda Vetting Service - Attend training on all aspects of volunteer management - Arrange for bespoke training particular to their organisation’s needs - Receive information bulletins on topics which impact their activities, such as the Code of Good Practice for Governance, the Charities Act etc.
