Kavi The Poetry-Art Project is an eco-friendly label started with an objective to combine the cause of environment and poetry with social entrepreneurship. Kicked off from a 10 by 10 feet single room set up in 2012, Kavi has come a long way. Within a few months of launch, the company got phenomenal love and it took shape thereon by word-of-mouth trust and popularity. With no prior business experience, the founders - Madhuri, Soumya and Amit - decided to go slow and started with a meagre amount of Rs 2000 and a Facebook page with a handful of creations and thereafter the entrepreneurial journey began for the three. As a result of the ongoing effort, we were consequently received with open arms by environmentally conscious consumers, connoisseurs and creators of active cultural groups. In 2018, the brand, Kavi The Poetry-Art Project was brought under the label of Powershot India Private Limited. The organisation engages people from different strata and roles in the society, making them stakeholders in sustainable development by way of the growth of the company. We create an opportunity for all grass root people starting from scrap dealers, labourers to women. The company creates many varieties of recycled gifting products for corporate houses as well as retail them through online as well as offline platforms. We mostly deal in four different materials – Cork, Waste Bottles, Seed Paper and Reclaimed Wood – for creating our products. Our products are far removed from the common factory designs you see all around. For this unique initiative, Kavi was also in Limca Book of Records 2015. We supply bulk/wholesale orders at discounted prices for resale. A few major brands with whom we have worked includes Corona India, Absolut India, Reliance, Bajaj Capital, DLF, Tata Communications, Sula, HDFC Bank, Grand Hyatt, Goa, Salesforce, Sarva Yoga and Diva Yoga (Owned by Malaika Arora and Jennifer Lopez)
