Kahve cafe is a whole immersive experience of feeling like you have stepped into a mediterranean cafe for a special cup of coffee or tea. We want you to feel like you are coming home after a long time away to visit with family. You see, there is a Turkish Proverb that says: One cup of coffee creates a 40 year friendship. When you walk in, you are not just a customer to us because we will be welcoming you into our family. Over the millenia, the Turkic culture have been nomads, creating home where ever they ended up after a days journey. Many of the food and beverages still reflect elements of that today. Coffee and tea were cooked over the camp fire ash. Thin layers of dough were filled with nuts and dried fruits, sometimes cheese and dried meats. Our cafe will bring th essence of having a fresh brewed cup of turkish coffee or tea into Salt Lake City. Each cup of Turkish coffee will be brewed to order in hot sand. This is not a quick grab and go cup of coffee..It is about gathering and savoring the moment, either alone or with friends. Turkish tea will be on all day and served traidtionally from a Samovar, double tea pot. One can’t have coffee without treats, right? We have that covered as well: baklava, borek, light Mediterranean salads and small plates will fill your bellies as our coffee will feed your spirit.
