JSLP Risk Consulting Group SARL was founded in Lomé, Togo, in August 2012 to provide Advisory and training services to banks, development banks, other financial institutions and other businesses in the areas of: - Risk management - Internal controls - Regulatory compliance; and - Corporate governance. The founder, Antoine K. (Tony) Nzongola, joined Citigroup (then First National City Bank) in 1976 and gained international banking experience in Central and West Africa, in the area of - General management, - Relationship management, - Risk management, - Operations, - Audit and compliance. He was appointed a Vice President of Citibank, N.A. in 1987. After more than 22 years with Citigroup, Tony moved to Ecobank Transnational Incorporated in Lomé in 1998 where he was Group Chief Risk Officer and served from 2008 until his retirement in 2011 as Senior Advisor to the Group CEO, with responsibility for corporate policy development and relations with rating agencies and development finance institutions. Tony is a trained chemical engineer. The consulting team consists of seasoned bankers, with various backgrounds in: - Business management, - Accounting, - Auditing, - Risk management, - Financial engineering, - Quantitative analysis, - Investment banking They are all bilingual (in French and English) and knowledgeable about the business environment in Central, West and Southern Africa.
