Overview

Jolly Learning Ltd is an independent publisher of the leading literacy programme Jolly Phonics and the music programme Jolly Music. Since 1987 Jolly Learning has been a part of the remarkable transition that has made synthetic phonics a mainstream teaching method around the world. Jolly Phonics is a comprehensive literacy programme, embedding phonics, grammar, spelling and punctuation throughout the school. It has been developed to provide teachers with all the tools and resources to deliver fun and effective lessons. The child-centred and multi-sensory approach to teaching enables children to become fluent readers. Jolly Music is a structured and progressive programme for the initial teaching of music that aims to develop children's musical skills. Based on the Kodály method, all of the teaching and learning is done through singing , enabling children to become instant music-makers. Traditional rhymes and songs are used to teach key musical elements such as pulse, rhythm, pitch, loudness and speed.
