Overview
JRA is an ambitious, evolving practice, built on firm foundations with a commitment to people and the planet through good design. The practice was founded in 1993 and operates internationally from our studios in London, Edinburgh and Lodz, Poland. Guided by founder John Robertson, JRA is led by Festus Moffat, David Magyar, Nathalie Bergvall and Smita Bhat, supported by an accomplished team of associate directors. Our projects span office, residential, heritage, education, hotel, compliance monitoring and residential sectors. JRA designs with imagination and flair. We make inspiring spaces that people are proud to work, learn and live in. We consistently develop innovative solutions to tackle difficult problems, using fresh thinking and technical skill to recognise each building’s unique opportunities and to add value. We strive to bring places into the future by drawing on the best of their past. JRA believes that one size doesn’t fit all, favouring optimum solutions, not house styles. We take our Clients with us on the journey through the project and are trusted for our technical expertise from concept stages through to completion, consistently driving quality and value through attention to detail. JRA’s teams are city experts. We think beyond the site boundary, creating designs that are sensitive to the local and global context. For us, sustainability isn’t just a buzz word or certification, we are sustainable by nature. The practice continues to pioneer construction methods and solutions to tackle the climate emergency.
