Overview
Jobbanken’s basic thought is that the employment situation of each mentally disabled individual can only be changed by involving the whole person. Consequently, in the contact with the mentally disabled Jobbanken focuses on personal resources and employment wishes and potentials above diagnoses, which makes development and change possible within a number of different areas, including personal and social competences, physical and mental health and employability. Jobbanken’s unique concept is comprehensive and evidence-based built on a four-strand method in accordance with the initiatives taken toward the mentally disabled: - Job and counselling - Sports and health - Learning and education - Network activities The personal development of the mentally disabled works alongside initiatives taken towards the firms that are to redress administrative and attitude problems and thus render it possible that a huge labour potential exists by employing mentally disabled people. Jobbanken was established in 2003 and through our well-established methods we have successfully created jobs for the mentally disabled in Herning, Aarhus and Copenhagen.
