The Jackson Area Transportation Authority is a multi-service system providing county-wide transit services to all residents within Jackson County Michigan. Services are county-wide, and available to all residents of Jackson and Jackson County, depending on destination. JATA provides door-to-door transportation services to and from work, school, medical appointments, shopping, and social activities. JATA provides traditional bus service and many special programs like Reserve-A-Ride and Ride & Shop.
