Overview
The San Rocco Clinical Institute, present in Ome, the province of Brescia, since 1994, is a multi-specialized hospital accredited by the Italian National Health Service (SSN). Located in the heart of Franciacorta, in an area known for the healthiness of the air and the environment for the absence of sources of noise and atmospheric pollution. The Institute is spread over an area of 22,000 square meters, with particular attention to the reduction of architectural barriers. Health activities range widely, covering almost all main medical branches: from Cardiac surgery to Cardiology, from General Surgery to Plastic Surgery, from General Medicine to Ophthalmology. And again, from Orthopaedics and Traumatology to Urology, from Intensive Care - Reanimation to the Coronary Care Unit, from Cardiac Rehabilitation to General-Geriatric Rehabilitation. Given the high level of quality guaranteed by all wards present in the Institute, during the last few years a particular "vocation" towards Cardiology has been highlighted, in particular regarding the treatment of the Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO), for which the Istituto Clinico San Rocco is the second most distinguished Italian center, and in the aortic valve replacement without an open-heart surgery. It is not by chance that the current organizational structure enjoys a cardiologic activity of great relevance with its Clinical Cardiology, Coronary Intensive Care Unit (U.T.I.C.), the Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Cardiac Surgery and Cardiac Rehabilitation. Another leading sector is Orthopaedics and Traumatology, in addition to Plastic Surgery - Laser Therapy and the services of Gastroenterology and Odontostomatology.
