Overview

University of Wisconsin-Madison, Wisconsin State employees, and local cybersecurity members have successfully formed ISACA-Madison Chapter of ISACA.org an International Group of Security Professionals. History ISACA was incorporated in 1969 by a small group of individuals who recognized a need for a centralized source of information and guidance in the growing field of auditing controls for computer systems. Today, ISACA serves 140,000 professionals in 180 countries. What We Offer & Whom We Serve ISACA provides practical guidance, benchmarks and other effective tools for all enterprises that use information systems. Through its comprehensive guidance and services, ISACA defines the roles of information systems governance, security, audit and assurance professionals worldwide. The COBIT framework and the CISA, CISM, CGEIT and CRISC certifications are ISACA brands respected and used by these professionals for the benefit of their enterprises. Volunteering ISACA’s greatest asset is its members, and those members who step forward and volunteer to contribute to the association’s work provide exceptional service. Volunteers make valuable contacts, strengthen leadership skills, learn more about the organization, contribute to the profession’s knowledge base, and help fellow members develop professionally. ISACA-Madison The Local team realized that a huge hole of Cyber training and teaming left many in a lurch. That is why our Chapter was formed and our goals are to entrust and infuse all members and all those who would become members, with the knowledge they need to do their jobs well. This is done by providing current event understanding, new learning of ISACA based certifications and knowledge founded in supporting Cybersecurity teams in the Madison area. We also wish to instill the Cybersecurity mentality to the general public in protection of Cyber matters, and build our future Cybersecurity Professionals. The first Chapter meeting will be in later September. Cybersecurity is the number one Growth industry in the nation and world.
