Interamerican Quality Foods

Overview

Since its inception in 1985, Interamerican Quality Foods (IQF) has become one of America's premier trading companies in Mexican-grown frozen fruits and vegetables. In fact, today IQF imports nearly one third of the total volume of frozen strawberries brought into the United States from Mexico. Over the course of the past three decades, IQF has developed a network of more than twenty processing facilities located throughout Mexico. The relationships with these suppliers coupled with IQF's familiarity with their operations are paramount to ensuring customers receive the quality product they have come to expect when working with IQF. IQF actively participates in planning the production and shipment of each product destined for its customers. Its in-house logistics team handles all details associated with freight out of Mexico, customs, storage in the United States, and delivery to its customers' facilities. Throughout the years, IQF has evolved to meet the needs of twenty-first century food manufacturers. Gone are the days of selling fruit as if it were merely another fungible commodity. Today fruit is packed to IQF's customer's specifications in facilities approved by them and whose quality and practices are attested by rigorous third-party auditing companies. Each facility has quality control personnel certified in preventive controls who have developed and implemented HARPC programs in compliance with the Food Safety Modernization Act. Yet, despite the modernization, some things will always remain the same: IQF is committed to building strong, long-term relationships of trust with both customers and suppliers, relationships based on integrity, consistency, and quality.
