Overview

We are an Australian veteran owned, female operated, legal and consultancy practice specialising in military and defence use of emerging and disruptive technology including cyber, artificial intelligence and autonomous weapons systems (AWS). We provide advice and training to defence industry, organisations and governments on legal and policy frameworks applicable to the design, development and use of emerging and disruptive technology and capabilities by military forces. We are experts in international humanitarian law (IHL) (also known as the Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC) or Laws of War (LOW)), rules of engagement (ROE) and military operations law. We have decades of experience in advising military and defence forces, governments and organisations on legal and policy issues associated with the conduct of military operations. We can help you understand, navigate or design legal, governance and policy frameworks for emerging and disruptive technologies, such as autonomous weapons systems or artificial intelligence, intended for military and defence use across multi-domain environments: land, sea, air, cyber and space.
