Overview

Climate change, Pandemics, Environmental Degradation, Economic Recessions, Ageing Infrastructures and Natural Hazards are potentially overlapping planetary and local challenges we face and need respond to. Cities are both hubs for solutions and causes of social inequalities and ecological degradation. How urbanization is happening, how cities need to adapt and change is a key urgent milestone we need to understand and implement quickly. This one year master is the essential tip of the iceberg, that is your lifelong career path. You’ll become part of a global community of practice which through this transdisciplinary education programme will teach you how to learn and work, putting in practice Urban Resilience Thinking. Created by the most prestigious International Network on Urban Resilience Research (URNet), your journey starts by meeting within the first 6 months more than 20 invited professors, city practitioners and experts from multilateral agencies and cities resilience networks. We will prove you the latest insights about how resilience and sustainability need to be conceived and implemented. But most important, we wish you to become part of this global community of practice offering you a continuous learning process, having on-line free access to past and future classes, supporting each others, sharing job opportunities and keeping you up-dated through our ALUMNI and URNet networks.
