International Internship Program

Overview

IIP presents Princeton students with an opportunity for full immersion in a work environment in a different culture equips students with skills that go beyond the specific internship experience and contributes to their development as leaders in a globalized world. The International Internship Program (IIP) seeks to provide Princeton students with the opportunity to experience a work environment abroad that allows them to explore and expand their academic interests and career goals. IIP offers internships in a variety of interest areas, ranging from economic development and finance, engineering, natural sciences research, computer and robotics to arts, education, media and journalism. By prioritizing service and demonstrable benefits to host communities and institutions, the IIP maximizes reciprocity in our international partnerships, directly fulfilling Princeton’s mission of acting “in the service of all humanity”. IIP offers guidance and financial support to undergraduates who wish to undertake an 8-week summer internship abroad. The IIP staff helps students to select internships from a list of placements prearranged by IIP as well as to research and secure their own internships independently. IIP also coordinates the Princeton in France, which provides students with the opportunity to be introduced to French culture through 4-8 week internship placements.
