Overview

The International Computer High School of Bucharest was founded in 1995 by Lumina Educational Institutions. It’s a private high school which is approved by and follows the standards and regulations of the Romanian Ministry of Education. ICHB applies modern teaching methods, in small classes, ranging from 12 to 18 students and has professional, active, creative, experienced teachers. It has laboratories with modern equipment: computer assisted education, projectors, rich school library, presentation rooms, sports fields and gym; a friendly relationship between teachers and students; various clubs for extra-curricular activities: Chess and Mind Games Club, Basketball Club, Judo Club, Community Service Club, IT Club, Science Club etc. counseling service providing individual guidance, a friendly family-teacher-administration relationship; high proficiency in read, written and spoken English; second foreign language alternatives (Turkish, Spanish, German). ICHB follows the Romanian curriculum, but most of the subjects are being taught in English: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Informatics, DTP, Biology and English. In Romania, all students study the same subjects as imposed by the Ministry. The grading system used is the Romanian numerical grading system, with grades ranging from 1 to 10, 10 being the maximum; 5 is the passing mark.
