Inspekt AI is borne out of our experience as architects from traveling the world and seeing the dangers older and un-maintained buildings pose to everyone. Improperly maintained Buildings are dangerous, they face rapid ageing, pollution damage, freeze-thaw cycles, cracking from water, and much more. Climate change is making these dangers worse. You can see crumbling infrastructure around you, buildings, bridges, condos. The condo collapse in Florida is an example, a tragedy that killed a hundred people and resulted in a billion dollar settlement. Buildings also leak significant energy adding to global warming and building costs and maintenance annually exceeds 10% of original building cost. These expenses can be dramatically reduced and dangers prevented. Traditional inspection methods for finding these problems are inadequate. Inspectors with binoculars looking from across the street or rappelling down from one point on a building will not find the problems At Inspekt AI, we use AI computer vision to analyze every millimeter of a building. Our inspection captures hundreds of thousands of up close images, every millimeter of a building in both thermal and high resolution imagery. Our AI analyzes all this data, detecting problems before the human eye can and before they become expensive, dangerous problems. A 20 dollar fix today might become a million dollar problem if ignored. We show you how buildings with the same problems were fixed and how those fixes held up a year later or more. We show building owners how their asset changes like a 1 inch movement in a wall eight stories up from one year to the next and we show them energy loss and inefficiency and how to mitigate it. The 3-d model helps them understand their asset and our interface provides the data to make informed decisions.
