Overview

A nationally registered nonprofit corporation that researches, develops, and deploys community-based, client-focused ‘quality of life’ improving outcomes involving addiction, victims of violence and trauma, developmental disabilities, and mental health services support through safe, emergency and transitional affordable housing to enhance stability within indigenous people’s lives. IWS Board of Directors is a formed collection of leading experts from the fields of social services, healthcare, indigenous culture & traditions, and business management. To develop and deploy service models to address critical stop-gap wellness services for Indigenous peoples in Canada, addressing the systemic and structural changes that are needed to better improve Indigenous health outcomes and quality of life of those with mental health, addictions, developmental disability, victims of violence and trauma. Utilizing a network of strategic partners and funding avenues to procure and deploy assisted to transitional living housing with support services for Indigenous prone to challenges of addictions, trauma, mental health, and disabilities and community integration, including those of recidivism risk factors. Striving to ensure sustainability of effective housing and support services; while facilitating research on knowledge for targeted resource mobilization to improve health and wellness of indigenous people on & off reservations, nationally.
