Indian Plastics Institute (IPI) Chandigarh Student Chapter aims at providing students with an exposure in the field of plastics and polymers by organising talks, seminars, visits to plastic manufacturing industries and creating awareness and sensitization about the use of sustainable plastic packaging. It strives to curb the myths surrounding plastic usage as affecting the environment which is false. Plastic is an indispensable part of our daily life. The problems of environmental damage are caused by the improper disposal of plastic-based materials which is an issue of concern. Industrial Trips organised by the organisation give an insight to the students about the working of various machines and raw materials in plastic manufacturing, further processing and usage. The students will also get an opportunity to interact with the heads of various plastic-based companies such as Reliance Polymer, Diplast Industries, Windsor to name a few.
