Overview

ICOLD, International Commission of Large Dams, is an International Organization which provides a forum of exchange of knowledge and experience in dam engineering. Currently comprises of 104 countries. India, (INCOLD- Indian National Committee on Large Dams) joined ICOLD very early, in 1930. In 1951, India hosted ICOLD’s 4th Congress in New Delhi. (Parliament House). New Delhi also hosted the 13th Congress in 1979 and the 66th Annual Meeting in 1998. INCOLD interacting with ICOLD Central Office in Paris and helps in dissemination, in India, of information about new developments in dam engineering, besides projecting India's expertise at international level through participation in various events of ICOLD. INCOLD YPF is dedicated to the all the young working professional, academicians and students who wishes to learn and promote Dam & hydropower engineering. It provides a platform to exchange and gain knowledge with the National & International community.
