Overview

Impact Drivers is a youth-led, women-led organization based in Johannesburg, South Africa, working throughout the country and neighbouring countries. Officially founded in 2016, Impact Drivers has ideated and implemented relevant programmes that respond to the needs of girls and young women in all their diversity. We have since made tremendous strides in the fight for the empowerment of adolescent girls and young women. We understand what it means to be a vulnerable young woman, thrown on the sidelines of a community with very little chance of thriving and being independent. So, our programmes aim to ensure that girls and young women get the lifeline they deserve. Our advocacy work involves fighting for the rights of girls and young women in all their diversity, challenging cultural and social norms that have not been beneficial for girls and young women. We aim to empower girls and young women to be in control of the decisions they make as they navigate their daily lives. Our programmes focus primarily on sexual reproductive health and rights, comprehensive sexual education, access to HIV prevention methods, and personal development.
