IMBUU Collective

Overview

A multimedia production company with a focus on film, podcast production, creative and feature writing, dedicated to telling stories that reform our collective mind. At IMBUU, we are intent on portraying the perspectives that aren’t prevalent in mainstream media. For us, it is about the Other; the marginalised and invisible members of our own society separated from the greater collective by means of race, gender, and other inidigenous identities as perceived on a local and global scale. IMBUU will work independently. Although keen on maintaining our corporate independence, IMBUU is willing, in noteworthy instances, to partner with global brands who demonstrate their commitment in effecting social change through their corporate responsibility initiatives. Set to launch soon, IMBUU’s premier project, Pülö, is a documentary that delves into the environmental degradation of a host community; Okrika in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. By highlighting the predicament of this community, IMBUU demonstrates its commitment to informing the greater collective of the stories and realities of the Other. We hope that Pülö not only ignites collective awareness but improves the lives of the people in front of the camera by providing the disadvantaged community with adequate mechanisms to de-pollute the area, and establish fishing ports to economically empower low to no-income families.
