The Illinois Workforce Partnership advocates for the creation of a skilled workforce for our state’s continued competitiveness and growth. The IWP supports local workforce boards that connect businesses and individuals to a wide array of resources utilizing the public workforce system. We are leaders who strategically engage a variety of local, regional, state and national partners in workforce and economic development to ensure program effectiveness. Our dedicated expertise makes us responsive to the needs of businesses and job seekers. Our statewide association advocates for the workforce industry and develops the professional capacity of workforce professionals seeking the highest standards of excellence in serving job seekers and business. The IWP members are drawn from workforce investment boards and administrators of WIOA programs. IWP members work directly with businesses, corporations, adult job seekers, youth, and priority populations accessing services through the Illinois Worknet America’s Job Centers. Priority populations include ex-offenders, migrant farm workers, senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, military veterans, the homeless, and others who experience barriers to employment. Our vision for Illinois is to be a state-wide high quality, employer-driven, innovative, proactive workforce development system that supports economic development.
