Overview

International Legal Advice Center commonly known as ILAC is a multinational conglomerate organization headquartered in Sofia, Bulgaria. ILAC carries out its mission through four core initiatives: advocacy in the nonprofit sector (ILAC NGO), Research & Education (ILAC Research & Education Center), Arbitration & Mediation (ILAC Arbitration & Mediation Court) and Online Media (ILAC online Media Portal). ILAC works to ensure that individuals and organizations involved in online environment and digital world have access to the legal resources, education, tools, and representation that they need to thrive. ILAC was founded in 2012 as a NGO, headquartered in Bulgaria but later on as a result of the dedication and hard work of its members, the organization expanded its activities and now it operates in more than three countries – Bulgaria, France and Belgium. Goal The ILAC’s goal is to start conversations between policy makers, civil society actors, and media professionals about the latest digital law research. We want policy makers to have timely, easy access to relevant research and to the range of views held by the legal experts and the civil society. We also work to engage the policy community with research on the policy making process itself. Additionally, we provide tools for anyone looking to stay up-to-date on Digital law and ICT law issues, though our briefings, event calendars, dossiers, and lists of on-going consultations. We also want to provide a platform for other academics and legal experts to bring their research into these debates and we welcome contributions from other institutions.
