The IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) Student Branch Chapter at General Sir John Kothalawala Defence University (KDU) is dedicated to advancing Engineering in Medicine and Biology and its impact on healthcare. It aims to bridge various engineering disciplines, such as Chemical, Mechanical, Computer, Electrical, Materials, and Electronic Engineering, to address biomedical challenges in Sri Lanka. The club fosters collaboration and communication between students and academics through events, workshops, seminars, and guest lectures. Their mission is to empower members with knowledge and skills to innovate in medical technology and patient care. EMBS KDU seeks to establish connections with industry leaders and researchers and invites individuals from diverse backgrounds to join their pursuit of excellence in the biomedical field, aiming to create a healthier world through engineering innovation.
