Overview

The Hydrogen House Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to education and the pursuit of clean and renewable energy technologies. The Hydrogen House Project envisions becoming a worldwide beacon for renewable energy. Over the course of the next several years, the Hydrogen House will be transformed into an interactive educational attraction featuring hands-on demonstrations of the latest in clean and renewable energy technologies. Meanwhile, the organization will continue to pursue research and development opportunities in the renewable energy sector, extending the reach of renewables into every facet of modern life. Hydrogen is an energy storage medium similar to a battery, but unlike batteries, which eventually lose their ability to hold a charge, hydrogen gas can be stored indefinitely. Perhaps the best argument in hydrogen's favor is that when it is burned for heat, or passed through a fuel cell to make electricity, the only byproduct is chemically pure water. When integrated with renewable energies like solar and wind power, hydrogen can offer a superior energy storage alternative to batteries with the added benefit of chemically pure water and oxygen as the only byproducts.
