Aliki Hotel was built in 1895 and initially belonged to Vangelitsa daughter of George Petrides, a rich captain and benefactor of Symi and then given as a dowry to her daughter, Fotini I. Gennimata, mother of the memorable politician George Gennimata. The name of the great politician has given to the shore where the hotel is located The Aliki is an old three-floor neoclassical hotel in Symi located in the port, just 3 meters from the sea.
