Meet HoopCam. HoopCam creates an eSport from basketball and gives amateur players the chance to play it as a legitimate profession. With the help of machine learning, we are designing this new sport to be progressively self-regulating. We are also introducing the first sports cryptocurrency to facilitate its economic growth. From corporate sponsorships, to product placements, to player and video promotions, we are able to leverage blockchain technology to ensure guaranteed ROI for sponsors, and near-instant payment for all contributors. Our app experience is designed as 1) a discovery platform for players, 2) a map of each player's journey as a progressing basketball player, as well as 3) a tool to record games and other contributions to the ecosystem. We learned through user interviews that amateur players want to play organized basketball and would jump at the chance to be recognized for their skills and hard work.
